Is there a character on New Girl that went through more of a transformation from the first episode to the last than Cece Parekh? Though not one of the main group that actually lived in apartment 4D, Hannah Simone's character did appear in every single episode, and was virtually unrecognisable by the end of season seven.
To begin with she was a shallow model who was only interested in dating idiots who were no good for her, and hiding her relationship with Schimdt for the sake of her own pride and ego. She thought she was better than him, but thankfully, she changed her mind about a lot of things.
When she started working with Nick at the bar she was given another dimension, before starting Cece's boys and becoming a mother to Ruth. Instead of only thinking of herself, she became a far more rounded character and person.
Her friendship with Jess is beautiful throughout the entire series, however it can't be understated how important it was that she end up with Schmidt. Kyle, Robby, Coach, and Shivrang were all wrong for her, there was only ever one person that was going to make her happy and allow her to flourish into the person she became.
