Are we the only ones who thought New Girl was quite the underrated television show when it aired on our screens between 2011 and 2018? It’s easy to overlook now but the show was a successfully long running one, airing for 146 hilarious episodes across 7 seasons.
Another great modern day single-camera tv sitcom, New Girl told the story of a bubbly school teacher named Jess who moves to Los Angeles on a whim after discovering her boyfriend was cheating on her with another woman. She moves in with three guys of a similar age; Nick, Schmidt and Coach (though the latter is basically replaced after the pilot for another male character called Winston) and it’s her dynamic as the “Simply Adorkable” 30 something professional learning to live amongst men of her age that is the premise behind the show.
We see Jess navigate her new environment with new friends and lovers and so many different characters come and go in her life, some staying longer than others.
