Once Upon A Time: 10 Characters Who Totally Got The Shaft

8. Dr. Whaleouat whale I€™ve got to give the show some props: Dr. Whale was featured in two episodes, which is two more than I thought he would be featured in. The problem now is wasted potential. Dr. Whale€™s episodes introduced many different plot points, such as the fact that some people from other worlds could be in Storybrooke, a plot point that has a lot of potential once you stop and think about it, no matter if you think Frankenstein jumped the shark or not. His episodes also introduced themes of science as a counterpoint to magic. And, while the show did work with those themes, they a: did it in a way that was nonsensical (Tamara€™s magic-killing tazer, I still don€™t know WHAT that thing is) and b: didn€™t involve Whale-which is a pity, because David Anders seems to make a living out of playing the bad guy and can do it VERY well. Since Frankenstein was already introduced as morally ambiguous in his two episodes, why not have Whale fully side with Tamara and Greg, instead of staying off in the sidelines?
