Still though, Seinfeld continues to be a massively influential series, with Netflix reportedly paying both Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David over $100 million dollars each for the right to have it on their streaming service.

Any way you slice it, that is a stunning amount of money to receive for a series that you stopped making in 1998 or 1996 in Larry David's case.

So, why then is it worth so much money today? Well, the answer is simple, it remains one of the greatest sitcoms ever made. The debate will rage on forever as to which show was better, Seinfeld or Friends, but what can't be denied is the sheer brilliance that the show about nothing brought to our screens.
