4. She Met Fiancé Phoebe After Taking A Shine To Her Pet Pig
It was love at first sight, all right, and not just between Rose and Roald Dahl’s grand-daughter Phoebe, but also with the latter’s pet pig. The loved-up couple – who have had to move their wedding date in order to accommodate the Orange is the New Black filming schedule – might never have met at all if a common acquaintance had not shown Rose a photo of Dahl’s pet pig.
The couple met at a BBQ that was being hosted by Dahl and that Rose had no intention of attending, until her love of animals overcame her reluctance to go out that evening. In typical Aussie style, smouldering looks were exchanged over the BBQ and, before too long, Dahl had broken off a current relationship and was spending platonic sleepovers at Rose’s. Until the cheesiest and most adorable line ever from Rose (My lips are all tingly, wanna feel them?) changed the platonic part into something else.
A marriage proposal followed in less than 3 months, soon after Rose called Dahl up for a passionate snog while spinning Avicii’s I’m Addicted to You in front of thousands of revellers at the San Diego Pride Parade.
