2. The Vanishing Gun

The gun is the tool that allows the inmates to take over the prison - thanks to it, they have the power over the guards. Because Daya gets her hands on it, she's the one in charge. She can't handle the pressure and, after walking into Piscatella's office to gather herself, she's hit in the head and loses the gun. To create the impression that she's still in control, Daya puts her hand into her pocket and pretends that the gun is there. This is playground stuff, not really that convincing.

The way the gun changes hands is also not that convincing - the inmates are really careless with it. When the gun finally leaves the prison, carried out by confused Donuts, it's immediately forgotten. The now-imprisoned guards never ask to see it again, and allow a single, unarmed woman take them to the "Poo", with no intention of running away.
