Oz Quiz: How Well Do You Remember The HBO Show That Changed Everything
Welcome to emerald city.
HBO without a doubt revolutionized TV with its fantastic shows: The Sopranos, The Wire, Sex and the City, Game of Thrones, Deadwood; you name it. But it wasn't always like that.
Back in 1997 HBO wasn't the prestige cable outfit it is today, but instead nothing more than a network which bought as many studio movies as possible. But it all changed when a certain Tom Fontana pitched the studio his idea for a prison TV show called Oz. From there on they shifted gears and focused their attention on making original shows.
It was the series that helped bring forth a new Golden Age, but how well do you remember the show that changed everything?
