Despite being seemingly complete opposites it's surprising how much Parks and Recreation's Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson have in common.

Leslie has an undying love for local government and politics in general. Whilst Ron believes that it is nothing but an expensive hindrance. This polar opposite view causes Ron to want to fire Leslie several times, yet Ron knows that Leslie's can-do attitude comes from a place of wanting to make her home town better. Ron soon learns that he can make his department as efficient as possible by simply letting Leslie control it.

Though they do have totally different personalities with Ron's desire to take a step back from social situations and Leslie's exuberance, they are more alike that you'd think. Both enjoy and are good at hunting. They both take charge of their own ranger groups to help the young people of Pawnee.

The pair also were devastated when miniature horse Lil' Sebastian passed away, with stoic Ron even shedding a tear. Throwing a memorial for him.
