There are some truly wonderful friendships that can be seen across the American TV sitcom scene. Joey Tribbiani and Chandler Bing, Jake Peralta and Charles Boyle, and Ted Mosby and Marshall Eriksen are among the greatest, but who could forget Ann Perkins and Leslie Knope.
When Parks and Recreation began, the two had never met despite both living in Pawnee. It wasn't until Ann raised the point of the pit behind her house at a local council meeting that they came into each others' lives, and they quickly grew to be the best of friends.
They were both socially awkward, had questionable love lives at best, and would and did do absolutely anything for each other. They were best friends for years, even after Ann left Pawnee, and were surprisingly similar to each other. As they spent more and more time together, Ann started to adopt many of Leslie's traits, growing ever closer to the eventual Governor of Indiana.
