In many ways Andy Dwyer is solely responsible for the whole of Parks and Recreation. As has been mentioned many times by particularly observant fans that if Andy never fell into that damn pit in the pilot and broke his legs then nurse Ann Perkins would never have met Leslie Knope and of course April Ludgate would never have come into his life.
The pit was the glue that stuck all these characters and Andy ignited it all leading to his life changing forever and also affecting the course of the fates of those around him.
Although he didn’t appear in every single episode of the show, Andy Dwyer was one of the main characters throughout its 126 episodes and seven seasons and he was responsible for some of the show’s most important moments.
