Parks And Recreation: Top 10 Guest Stars

10. Will Arnett

Let us just take a minute to weep softly to ourselves at the reality that Will Arnett and Amy Poehler are no longer a comedy power couple. As long as they're both happy, that's all that matters. Choke back that sob. Arnett plays Chris, an MRI technologist with whom Leslie is set up on a blind date with by her "beautiful tropical fish" Ann. No stranger to quirky ensemble comedies, Arnett was in his element as the creepy and inappropriate doctor. He and Poehler bounced off each other in a way that couples playing people who hate each other are often brilliant at (think Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt in Friends), leading to a new addition to Leslie's list of awful first dates. Leslie and Chris' meeting is awkward from the outset. When they discover that they went to rival colleges, Chris takes Leslie's joking a bit too seriously. Worse still, he discovers she is the director of the parks department, rather than an amusements parks department which, let's be honest, we'd all be a little disappointed if we found this out about a potential date wouldn't we? Parks are great and all, but amusement parks...well, the clue's in the name. They're like parks, but with amusement. Anyway, the date takes an even weirder turn when Chris discovers that Leslie has never had an MRI scan, so insists that he takes her to hospital to have one (this is probably why Americans only have private health-care, otherwise everyone would be getting MRI scans for a first date). Asking if Leslie was on her period before the scan (good to know where the date could be going) Chris cements the date as ruined. Leslie rejects his advances to which he angrily leaves, and then returns as Leslie has to drive him home which, you can imagine, was deliciously painful.

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
