Pennyworth: 9 Ups And 5 Downs From "Pilot"
2. Gunned-Up Granny
The sheer absurdity of seeing an OAP going down in a blaze of gun-toting glory is enough to have this moment classed as an Up.
As Dave Boy heads to Alfred’s rescue, he’s greeted by the nameless granny who first ushered Alfie in to try and find the held-hostage Esme. With a villainous glint of mischievousness in her eye, this elderly stateswoman turns up to start firing at Dave.
Unfortunately, there isn’t any sort of “respect your elders” sentiment in former SAS man Dave Boy as he gets gunned down by this grizzled grandma. Luckily, Dave's pal Bazza arrives in time to take down the old bird - which even has Dave a little taken aback that they've had to off an OAP.
From a purely visual perspective, though, this gunning granny was fantastic to see.
