Prison Break: Ranking The Fox River 8
6. Charles "Haywire" Patoshik
Charles Patoshik was an unlikely addition to the Fox River 8.
"Haywire" was able to garner simultaneous sympathy and shudders from Prison Break's viewership upon first appearing as Michael's cellmate.
Michael came to the unsettling realisation that he would have to include Haywire in the escape, and although it seemed he had managed to find a way around it, Patoshik was still able to force his way in amongst the escapees, earning him his place in the 8.
After the escape, we were able to see Haywire more closely as he was given more screen-time and a story arc which highlighted not only his human side but his child-like innocence, making us realise that he was far more than just another unstable convict.
Haywire met a particularly sticky end in the episode "Chicago". It was a sad death, as we had to watch as Mahone nudged him into committing suicide, playing on his vulnerability and proving once more the depths he would sink to to see the Fox River 8 apprehended, one way or another.
