Long before The CW's Arrowverse and Netflix's Marvel universe were dominating superhero television, there was Smallville. The classic WB series starred Tom Welling as a young Clark Kent and focused on the Man of Steel's adolescent days at Smallville High school.
Over the show's revolutionary 10-year run, viewers got to watch Clark transform from boy to man (to Superman) as he came to terms with his abilities, the destruction of his own planet and the realization that he had a destiny far greater than he could have ever imagined.
The show also sported a unique blend of supporting characters, all of whom struggled in the aftermath of the meteor shower that brought Clark to Earth in the first place.
