38. Garden Of Bones (Season 2, Episode 4)
This is the episode of firsts. Robb Starks fate is sealed, as he meets Talisa for the first time; Dany and her crew arrive at Qarth and receive not the warmest of welcomes; Arya and Tywin have their first meeting at Harrenhal; and the episode ends with our first glimpse at Melisandres blood magic, as a shadow appears out of her naughty bits. Overall though, not enough happened to make this a memorable episode. The highlight of Garden of Bones is the first (and last) on-screen meeting between Stannis and Renly Baratheon, where Renly gets a few good verbal jabs in. When Melisandre comments that Stannis is born of salt and smoke, Renly replies, Is he a ham? Too bad that Renly was the one who got smoked an episode later after all that these jests.
