Ranking All 8 Seasons Of Dexter

Season 7 is a year of the show that, whilst never making the terrible missteps of season 8 that earn it a reputation as one of the worst seasons of television ever, still isn’t very interesting. In fact, it’s downright boring and forgettable. Seriously, what happens in season 7? Does anyone remember?

This is the season where Deborah knows Dexter’s dirty secret and, as a result, we lose out on a lot of the banter that had made the pair so interesting to watch previously. It also introduces Yvonne Strahovski as Hannah McKay, a new love interest for Dexter whose character never quite seems to find her footing. Ray Stevenson rounds out the season's guest stars as the villainous head of a Ukrainian Crime Syndicate and, whilst he certainly doesn’t do a bad job, he just isn’t as interesting of a villain. Ultimately season 7 is a shadow of the show it had once been.
