Evidence: She's in love with Sheldon, which is evidence enough on its own, but Amy's background (she's basically the female Sheldon when she first appears) confirms her as one of the most nerdy of all the characters. She is the perfect storm of socially awkward and obsessive, and initially loves science more than people. Yes she's come a long way and isn't into the D&D side of things, but she's still basically a mega-nerd.
