Ranking The 20 Best Arrowverse Costumes
1. The Flash (Seasons 1 - 4)
When it comes to the best costumes in the Arrowverse, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything better than the Scarlet Speedster's triumphant outfit.
A jacket and pants combo brought together by a lightning-shaped belt, the suit not only looked like a one-piece bodysuit, it was the very definition of an efficient superhero costume. Just by looking at it, you knew that it was a runner's uniform because it was form-fitting, sleek and just screamed aero-dynamic. However, its strongest attribute was the incredibly comic-accurate cowl that always looked neatly-fitted to Grant Gustin's face and was complemented by the sharply-cut chinstrap and lightning bolt emblems on either side.
While the burgundy colour certainly helped set it apart in the beginning, the outfit peaked during Season 4 when it received a major update, no change more important than the brighter red colour that gave it even more of a comic-accurate appearance.
While the suit's complete revamp in Season 5 certainly has its bonuses, it can't quite compete with the perfection of the original design (especially not the Season 4 iteration of it). That suit not only effectively highlighted that Barry Allen didn't need muscles to be the Arrowverse's greatest hero, it was an unforgettable look that, like the Arrow's debut outfit, never needed to be too fancy to make a statement.
It was simple, yet very effective.
