Wally West debuted in The Flash's second season as Joe's long-lost son. Though he didn't take to the warm, loving environment right away, he did possess his family's desire to help people, as well as an unusual need for speed. Naturally, the two things went hand-in-hand when he eventually became a speedster.

The Kid Flash suit made its debut in the alternate Flashpoint timeline before it was magically recreated in the main timeline when Wally became a metahuman. Though it's in the same vein as the majority of speedster outfits on the show, its yellow and red design and open-headed cowl ensure that it's the perfect homage to the comic book iteration of Kid Flash.

The only thing odd about it in the beginning was its rather short neck, but after a slight modification midway through the season, it improved a great deal, completing Wally's all-round epic (and comic-accurate) look.
