Ranking The Major Buffy The Vampire Slayer Villains From Worst To Best

1. Glory

Whilst others on this list may have a much deeper connection to Buffy on an emotional level, it's this high-strung hell-goddess in heels that ultimately takes the crown for best Big Bad.

Glory's immense power and knack for one-liners far outweighed Buffy's own, and it was immediately established that Buffy stood zero chance of stopping her. This ultimately leads to Buffy suffering a complete mental breakdown, making Glory the only villain to truly break the Slayer - at least for a brief time anyway.

And whilst all of their confrontations were both tense and electrifying, their climactic battle in 'The Gift' is without question the finest action set-piece that the show has ever produced, and truly raised the bar for grandiose Hollywood-style action on the small screen.

And that's without even getting into Glory's need to consume human minds to stay sane, her army of mentally ill minions or her sharing a body with a regular guy named Ben. There are so many wildly different facets to Glory as a character, and yet it all blends together seamlessly to create the show's most compelling and downright dangerous villain that lit up the screen every time she came crashing into Buffy's life.
