Reality TV: 5 Reasons It Needs To Be Scrapped

geordie.shore.magaluf Since I've started writing for WhatCulture I feel like my articles have got angrier as I go along, and it provides a great outlet for when I want to express my negative opinions, as you may have gathered if you read my article about stupid things people do on social media. Now another one of my pet peeves is going to get a grilling: Reality TV. This terrible genre of television seems to increase every year, with another setting for a bunch of idiots added to the already saturated schedule on a regular basis. The list really is endless; Geordie Shore, The Valleys, The Only Way Is Essex, and various other shows clog up the TV guide every week, and when one finishes a series, BANG! Another one starts. If you have not gathered by now, I have an intense hatred of reality TV, and I wish it would really go away and not come back. This article aims to document my 5 reasons as to why reality TV should do one. So, on with the rant, in no particular order, here are my 5 reasons€

5. Lack Of Talent

Geordie_Shore (1)

I don€™t know about everyone else, but when I see snippets of these shows, it really annoys me that people who are less talented than me (and I€™m not talented by any means) are rolling in cash simply by living a ridiculous party lifestyle and acting like an idiot; even I could do that. These people are being paid stupid amounts of money, and what for? Going out clubbing and getting smashed? I€™ve done that. Arguing with people? I€™ve done that as well. I think I€™m wasting my time going through university, probably just best to get drunk and act like an arse all the time.
