Robert Englund Joins Stranger Things Season 4
Freddy Krueger is coming to Hawkins.
Season 4 of Stranger Things promises to be a bit more spooky. The official Twitter account for the show announced on Friday that horror icon Robert Englund has joined the cast of the new episodes.
The legendary actor, better known for his role as the evil Freddy Krueger in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise will play Victor Creel, described as "a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s". It seems that Hawkins gang will have one more member to fear this time around.
Stranger Things Season 4 doesn't have a release date yet, but it will presumably drop on Netflix in late 2021. Production on the show was shut down this March due to the ongoing pandemic and has now resumed.
Besides the new addition of Robert Englund, fans are eager to see how David Harbour's Sheriff Hopper will come back to the mix after season 3's ending. His return has pretty much been confirmed by the first trailer of the new season but the only question is how he will do it.
