After losing all their money, the Rose family was forced to move to a small town that patriarch Johnny Rose bought as a joke for David. They aspired to be anywhere but Schitt’s Creek. However worries about material goods, squabbles between siblings, and hostility towards the inhabitants of this town can wear out pretty quickly.
Overtime the popularity of the show grew however and as more storylines developed, our love for the Rose family and the inhabitants of Schitt's Creek only grew. And two characters who are often seen as fan-favourites are Johnny and David Rose.
Johnny and David Rose weren't always close in the beginning. However after moving to Schitt's Creek, the father-son duo grew stronger. Living together in conjoining motel rooms forced them to get to know each other. Johnny and David became closer and genuinely enjoyed each other's company. While they had their downfalls, they also had a bunch of sweet moments too. Let’s not forget that the day David opened the Rose Apothecary Johnny never looked prouder of his son.
