Secret Invasion Episode 5 Review - 5 Ups & 4 Downs

8. Down - Multiple Small Plot Holes

Secret Invasion Nick Fury
Marvel Studios

At a certain point, it became frustrating just how many of these inconsistencies there were in Secret Invasion, small though they may be.

When did G'iah, and apparently the rest of the world, learn the names of Thanos' Black Order? They didn't exactly go around introducing themselves, particularly Cull Obsidian, the muscle of the group who was the only one who didn't speak a word of English throughout Infinity War.

How soon after the Battle of Earth did Fury leave? The fight kicked off mere minutes after those from the Snap returned, and as it has previously been confirmed, Fury left as a direct result of being snapped away. But he hung around long enough to order Gravik and a handful of Skrulls to collect blood samples from the battlefield?

Speaking of the Harvest, how on Earth would the Skrulls know whose blood was whose? Would they have taken someone like Tony Stark's, or Clint Barton's blood? No disrespect to the two OG Avengers, but in regards to abilities, their DNA was nothing special.

Finally, why on Earth would a team have harvested the DNA of just about every single Avenger, including Carol Danvers, and mixed it all together in just one vial?
