The Contest was perhaps the most famous ever episode of Seinfeld and probably one of the more talked about in the show’s history. Airing at the tail end of 1992, the groundbreaking episode featured our four main characters of Jerry Seinfeld, Elaine Benes, Cosmo Kramer and George Costanza battle it out in a bet to see who can hold out masturbating the longest.

Writer Larry David won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Writing in a Comedy Series for his work on the episode and critics would applaud the episode for its inclusion of a female character in such a bet and its controversial subject matter being handled in such an inoffensive way.

The episode introduced the immortal catchphrase “Master of my domain” and is probably one of the more referenced plots that transcended into popular culture.

So 30 years on from its original airing, how much can you remember about The Contest?

Can you remember who was the first character to declare they were out of the bet, who claimed to have won the bet and who actually won the bet because the original winner cheated?
