Seinfeld Quiz: Who Said It - Jerry Seinfeld Or Elaine Benes?

This was as far away from a Ross and Rachel situation as you could imagine.

Jerry Elaine
NBC

The complex relationship shared by Jerry Seinfeld and Elaine Benes in Seinfeld was one of the most unique in any sitcom. Groundbreaking in its own way, the usual will they/won’t they sitcom cliche was thrown out of the window as creators Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld decided to knock conventional storytelling on its head and NOT have them get together in the end.

This was as far away from a Ross and Rachel situation as you could imagine. These two characters weren’t destined to be together and no wedding two part episode season finale was ever on the cards for these two.

Although we find out early on that Jerry and Elaine did actually once date, the show was never too concerned about that. Yes it did become the narrative of a few select episodes and the odd throwaway line or joke, it was clear that their former relationship was to distract us from thinking that they might ever get back together, reducing the chances of us spending too long focusing on shipping them together.

In the end, Jerry and Elaine were just better friends than lovers. Maybe it was because they were so alike?

But how alike were they, actually? Take our "Who Said It" quiz below to see if you can distinguish between their different voices.
