Over the course of 180 episodes and 9 seasons, our lead character Jerry Seinfeld sure made a lot of enemies in his life. There’s obviously his neighbour Newman and his dentist Tim Whatley that Jerry regularly has sour run-ins with but what about fellow stand-up comedian Kenny Bania?
Floating in and out of Jerry’s purveyor once a season or so, Bania is a mirror image of somebody Jerry Seinfeld feared he could have been…. an unfunny, untalented comic act who isn't aware of his lack of talent. Jerry’s fear of Bania comes from a place of seeing what his life could have or could be, a living embodiment of his worst nightmares. And the fact that Bania adores and idolises Jerry and is just so damn cheerful, optimistic and happy all the time just makes things worse for poor Jerry.
