Sex Education is about a sex therapist and her miserable, sexually uneasy teenage son - Otis. Surrounded by manuals and open conversations about sex, Otis is a reluctant expert on the subject. Thus, he realises that he can use this special knowledge at school. Together with his friend, Otis starts an underground sex therapy clinic to deal with fellow students' weird and shocking problems. Through his analysis, he realises that he needs some therapy of his own.

While many people think that this show is only for adults, others think that the focus of the show is shifted from sexual relations to emotional connections. Most importantly, the show gives a language to talk about sex and relationships in a mature way. It teaches about consent and acceptance of different motivations, different limits, and different problems.

Sex Education had a huge critical success and, almost certainly, was a commercial hit for Netflix.
