In one of the more incredible resolutions of the show, we learned that Irene Adler was in fact, totally in love with Sherlock Holmes. Which is easy to see why. One of the standout episodes, 'A Scandal in Belgravia' gave us a few moments when Sherlock believed that he'd worked out the code, only to be denied. The dying moments of the episode though, when Ms Adler was about to walk away with her demands, proved to be the moment when Sherlock triumphed, as he revealed the code to her phone to be "SHER", completing the phrase "I Am Sherlocked". A fantastically clever idea, and a brilliant piece of television.
