Episode: Moe Goes From Rags To Riches Remember that ''You'll Never Stop The Simpsons'' song from 'Gump Roast', in which the show assures us ''Have no fears/ We've got stories for years'', before revealing such gloriously mundane future plotlines as 'Bart gets a cell phone'? Oh, how we laughed, until the episode 'Lost Verizon' managed to spin an entire story out of Bart prank-calling Denis Leary - and then we realised that the song was sounding increasingly like less of a joke and more of a genuine threat. How else to explain this frankly baffling episode in which we follow the journey of Moe's bar rag (voiced by Jeremy Irons) throughout history; from Persia to Italy, Civil War to Great Depression, one achingly gag-free scene to another? If nothing else, it's original. But then there's probably a good reason why other shows haven't devoted the best part of half an hour to the woes and wisdom of a bartender's rag. Oh, and if you're wondering what the above picture is all about, it turns out that Moe is part yeti. Yeah.
