The Simpsons: 10 Secondary Characters Voiced By Harry Shearer

1. God

First Appearance: "Homer the Heretic," Season 4 Homer's favorite fictional character, God, has made numerous appearances on The Simpsons, and when He does, His physical appearance on the show has two important characteristics. One, He- and His son, Jesus Christ- are the only characters on The Simpsons with five fingers and toes. And two, His face is never shown, outside of two instances: one, in the opening of "Treehouse of Horror XVI" when Kang and Kodos destroy the entire universe; and in "Alone Again, Natura-Diddly" when Ned Flanders- upset after the death of his wife, Maude- turns the framed photo of God around to face the wall. Otherwise it's just the flowing white robe, sandals, and long gray-haired beard shown. Funniest Moment: On Doomsday, Homer was the only member of his family raptured. In Heaven, Homer asks God if he can please cancel Doomsday, and restore everything to save his family. God: "Oh, don't tell me about families suffering. My son went down to Earth once. I don't know what you people did to Him, but He hasn't been the same since." With over 160 characters remaining, there are certainly going to be characters of Harry Shearer's I missed. Who of your favorite belonged in the Top 10? Dr. Marvin Monroe? Mr. Largo, the band teacher? Marty of KBBL's "Bill and Marty"?

The 'House is a father of two and husband of one in Minnesota. He is an improv comedian, and in his spare time follows WWE, MLB, The Simpsons, and Bob's Burgers. Growing up he was a huge fan of He-Man, and refuses to believe that it was in fact terrible.
