In an era where The Simpsons will do pretty much anything to garner a bit of extra attention, the show gave infamous graffiti artist Banksy the opportunity to write a couch gag, which controversially portrayed The Simpsons being drawn in an intensive Korean sweatshop by hundreds of poorly-treated workers. This was shocking for obvious reasons, though it almost felt like The Simpsons was shooting itself in the foot for the sake of working with Banksy, given that the show is mostly animated in South Korea. A little bit cringe?
