Joe Dempsie played loveable party animal Chris who ends up tragically homeless when his mother leaves, and is expelled from college before seemingly getting his life on track in a relationship with Jal that leads to pregnancy. His death in the second season was the hardest hitting moment of the show's early run.
After Skins
Aside from a role in the excellent adaptation of The Damned United, Dempsie mostly stuck to TV, appearing in Doctor Who, and This Is England before landing the role of Gendry in Game Of Thrones.
He's since gone on to do a lot of good work, but the entire world is obsessed with his inevitable return to Thrones whenever Gendry stops rowing...
