Smallville: 10 Best Characters Only In One Episode

1. Booster Gold

How could you do a list of great one-and-done Smallville characters and not include Booster Gold and his famed sh*t-eating grin?! Simply put, you can't.

Much like his comic book counterpart, Smallville's Booster Gold (as played by Eric Malstof) is a bit of a prick. Donned in a glitzy, vibrant superhero outfit that's adorned with sponsors, Booster and his flash, brash arrogance is in the hero game purely for the fame and the adoration that it brings along with it. Basically, Booster Gold is the polar opposite of Superman.

Of course, by the time all is said and done with Booster Gold's one-and-done appearance in the aptly titled 'Booster' episode, Clark manages to get through to the real Michael Jon Carter and make him realise what it truly means to be a hero.

With that, Booster Gold zooms off back to the future, complete with Jaime Reyes under his wing as Blue Beetle - but not before Booster gives Clark some sage advice about maybe wanting to change his alter-ego name from the Blur to something that's maybe a little more 'super'.
