Sons of Anarchy 7.4 Review - 5 Talking Points From "Poor Little Lambs"
3. A Pair Of Silencers
Throughout this entire ordeal, it's always felt like the only reason Juice was still alive was because Gemma hadn't found a way to eliminate him without creating another mess for herself yet. We viewers aren't buying her faux compassion for Juan Carlos, he's just another pawn in her game of self-preservation. When she no longer needs him around, if she has her way, he won't be around anymore. For his part, Juice has shown that he's mentally unstable. His armor has entirely chipped away, and all that's left is a scared, broken young man who wants nothing more than to belong to something. Theo Rossi has done a masterful job this season in the scenes he's been given and has given heart to and created sympathy for a character who smothered a young mother to death with a pillow last season. The APB has been put out and Juice has to be shepherded out of town right away, so Unser, Gemma and Wendy band together to make that happen. Near the end of the episode, we see Juice loading his bags for his departure, attaching a silencer to his pistol. Normally this wouldn't be that noticeable, except that we're then shown Gemma doing the same, and right away it becomes foreboding symbolism that a collision is coming. Will the two even make it to Gemma's father's home? And if so, do they both walk away? The smart money says at least one of those guns gets fired very soon.
