Sons Of Anarchy 7.9 Review - 5 Talking Points From “What A Piece Of Work Is Man”

SAMCRO has another empty chair at the table.

€œYou didn€™t want another choice€. SAMCRO has another empty chair at the table. We knew all along there was no way we were going to see this season through to the end without having to say goodbye to some of our favorite bikers. Throughout his tenure on the show, Mark Boone, Jr.€™s Bobby Munson has always served as a calming influence over the club, and a surrogate father figure to Jax in particular. He was often a voice of reason and devil€™s advocate when the Sons needed one most, and the most senior member of the club still breathing. €œWhat A Piece Of Work Is Man€ was very much an episode where the sins of the recent past came home to haunt the Sons of Anarchy. We€™ve traveled even further down the road of no redemption, and Bobby€™s death, while on the surface may be on Jax€™s hands, ultimately the fault lies with Gemma. The gravity of all that she€™s caused through her selfishness and self-justification has finally begun to sink in, as people that she cares about are suffering greatly. Don€™t expect her to come clean on her own, though. Her sense of self-preservation far outweighs any guilt she may be feeling. We also saw the continued warping of a small child€™s mind, as Abel has been exposed to things no one his age should ever have to witness. And yet, all the people in his life seem totally shocked that all that death, danger and sadness is having an adverse effect on him, especially his grandmother, who thinks that the life they lead is charmed and normal. So what€™s the next step for the sons? The ending of the episode would lead one to believe that things are drawing to a close, but that€™s likely a feint before the real bomb detonates. This was another excellent installment and Kurt Sutter has us all thirsting for vengeance. Tuesday can€™t get here fast enough. Here are 5 talking points from €œWhat A Piece Of Work Is Man€.
