Sons Of Anarchy: 10 Most Hated Episodes

Violence, murder, and near incest that saw Sons of Anarchy cross the line.

In a similar way to the likes of Breaking Bad, BoJack Horseman, and Rick and Morty, Sons of Anarchy took a group of people who really shouldn't have been protagonists and turned them into heroes. The club operated outside the law and did some pretty horrific things, but audiences still loved them.

The same could be said about the series in general. Even now, almost eight years after the release of the heart-thumping finale, Sons of Anarchy is still an incredibly popular, critically acclaimed TV series that didn't overstay its welcome

However, that isn't to say that every single episode was met with the same response as the overarching series. Every TV show in history has episodes far better than others, and always will, but in the case of the Sons, this could be taken to the extreme.

Within the seven seasons and 92 episodes that make up Sons of Anarchy, there are a handful that really pissed audiences off. Whether because its trademark gritty violence was taken too far, a character they loved did something unforgivable, or the scenes between the sheets got too raunchy for them, it wasn't uncommon for fans to complain about an episode or two.

Towards the end of her life, Tara Knowles became increasingly scared for the future of her sons, and paranoid that the club would corrupt their entire lives. She had a more than valid point, but as she began scheming to get them safe, she essentially became a different character altogether.

Ironically, in order to try and save her family from the Sons of Anarchy, she had to use some skills that without the exposure to the club she would never have learned. She lied, deceived, and manipulated her way into an advantageous position against Gemma.

Her plan was to get a restraining order against the boys' grandmother. To do this she came up with a ridiculously convoluted plan that involved her faking a pregnancy for some time. She then riled Gemma up just enough, and faked being attacked by her. One blood pack under the jumper and a bump on the edge of a table later, she faked a miscarriage at Gemma's fault.

Not only was this tough to watch, it hit home just how much Tara had changed. And not for the better, either within the walls of the narrative or as a TV character. Things had got a little too ridiculous, and fans were about ready to see the end of Tara at this moment.
