Sons Of Anarchy Season 7: 7 Reasons To Be Excited

7. 'Black Widower'

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtyIzwKwWIU That€™s the title of the ninety-minute season premiere hitting cable screens on Tuesday, September 9th, and anybody who€™s been watching the show knows exactly what that signifies. The bloody climax of season six, €˜A Mother€™s Work€™ saw the culmination of years of storytelling, as the two matriarchs of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club: Redwood Originals (aka SAMCRO) came head to head for the last time. Gemma Teller-Morrow, the mother of our tortured hero Jackson was victorious, brutally murdering his wife Tara in her own kitchen, stabbing her over and over in the head with a barbecue fork while drowning her in the sink. Not the subtlest of finales, but Sons Of Anarchy rarely does subtle. We€™re told that €˜Black Widower€™ opens ten days after the events of €˜A Mother€™s Work€™€ and finds Jax in jail. When DA Patterson found him cradling Tara€™s corpse at the climax of season six, there was speculation that he would be framed as the killer, but creator, showrunner and main writer Kurt Sutter is too smart for that. With only thirteen episodes to tell the remainder of the story, he needs Jackson out of jail and set on revenge. FX€™s press release for the premiere promises that Jackson is bent on setting in motion "brutal machinations that will lead to complete and merciless retribution" against those he believes to be responsible for Tara€™s horrific murder. One thing€™s for sure€ everyone€™s hands will be bloody when Mister Mayhem fades in at the end of €˜Black Widower€™.
