South Park: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

20. Season 22 (2018)

To leave an unforgettable first impression, each season of South Park usually starts by tackling a heavily controversial issue. With season 22 kicking off with a plot about school shootings, it looked like the creators were pulling no punches.

But after that, it felt like the South Park team got cold feet since a lot of the season falls flat due to tame storylines and relying on recycling jokes.

The ManBearPig saga stands out since it serves as an apology to Al Gore after Matt Stone and Trey Parker admitted they unfairly belittled the politician in previous storylines. However, it felt like this two-parter was made out of obligation rather than because the writers had a compelling story to tell.
