Star Trek: 10 Awesome-Sounding Projects That Never Got Made

6. Secret of Vulcan Fury

Secret of Vulcan Fury character models Secret of Vulcan Fury is the only video game on the list, which is a testament to how far it got in the production process before getting cancelled, with two demos released late in 1997 and 1998. This TOS story would explain some of the backstory of the Vulcans and Romulans by introducing a Vulcan space station called €œFury,€ which destroyed the Romulan fleets. The TOS cast get drawn into a Romulan plot to get Fury under the guise of a peace conference with Vulcan, leading to a Romulan attack on Vulcan that the Enterprise must repel. While the game was shelved due to the cost of production, some of the developers wound up on the staff of Roughnecks: Starship Troopers, the CGI Starship Troopers cartoon. Because of this, Paramount actually considered making a TOS cartoon, making this the only unproduced project to get a second chance (so far). Sadly, the original TOS cast never had the chance to have one last adventure before Deforest Kelley passed, making this the biggest missed opportunity on the list.
