Star Trek: 10 Best Klingon Episodes
9. Deep Space Nine - The House Of Quark
An Klingon episode that features Ferengi is bound to be special. That was certainly the case with "The House of Quark."
DS9's resident bartender, businessman and criminal has been known to get himself into a lot of trouble over the years. But as good as Quark is at getting into trouble, he's even better at getting out of it. When a drunk Klingon killed himself in Quark's bar, the Ferengi took advantage of the situation and lied about what happened to drum up business.
This led to Quark getting drawn into a fight between two Klingon houses, one being waged through monetary means. After being forcibly married to Grilka, the widow of the man he lied about killing, Quark used his Ferengi acumen to prove her enemy's duplicitous tactics and help her house come out on top.
Klingons and Ferengi are about as opposite of species are you will find in Star Trek. One values combat while the other values profit. They have very little in common. But what this episode successfully did was build bit more understanding and somewhat of a mutual respect between them.
