Star Trek: 10 Strangest Alien Species

2. Organians

There are more than a few species that love to hide their gifts in plain sight. The Organians were a prime example of that.

When Kirk and Spock encountered them, the Organians were posing as a primitive species in order to stay out of the war with the Klingons. But when the moment called for it, they revealed themselves to be much more than they seemed and put a stop to the violence. The Organians helped engineer a treaty they predicted would eventually lead to peace between the Federation and the Klingons.

The Organians were energy based beings who took corporeal form, disguising their true power. They had enhanced awareness which allowed them to detect ships in orbit and away teams landing. Their abilities went far beyond that into other areas such as raising the dead. It was an impressive feat to say the least.

Their choice to stay hidden was almost as odd as their choice to finally make themselves known. Enterprise detailed another encounter with them that was even stranger. The Organians watched the same planet for ten thousand years to see how different alien species dealt with the virus on it. Again, another odd choice.
