Star Trek: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Weyoun

Onscreen Weyoun's eighth clone was killed in the series finale. However in the expanded universe (and science-fiction in general), death is just one of those ever-present hurdles that can be jumped.

While the cloning facility in the Alpha Quadrant was destroyed during the Dominion War, others still existed on the other side of the Bajoran Wormhole.

The ninth Weyoun would go on to assist Odo in rebuilding the Dominion as a more peaceful society, even seeking out Jem'Hadar who were not addicted to Ketracel White.

In Star Trek Online, that universe would see Weyoun Ten negotiate with the Federation to release the Female Changeling from her incarceration. Star Trek: Online skips over the existence of Weyoun Nine.

Ten's appearance in the game was voiced by Combs and sees the Vorta arrested for attempting to kill Odo.  He is then killed by a Jem'Hadar soldier during a storyline that revolves around a group of Ketracel White-addicted Hur'Q.

An even more curveball timeline from the Millennium novel, War of the Prophets would include a variant of Weyoun who had become the Kai of Bajor.

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of four decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
