Star Trek: 15 Greatest Ever Time Travel Episodes

1. All Good Things - TNG

There's a good reason that All Good Things is widely considered to be a love letter to The Next Generation fans: it combines some of the most popular elements in time jumping, Q and Picard having to answer for all of mankind. And for extra points, it effectively includes THREE Picards, all working together to try and solve a time anomaly with Q being surprisingly helpful.

Inevitably, it turns out to be a test, with Picard once more suitably impressing the Q Continuum, who had written humanity off as unevolvable (despite the multiple episodes of evidence to the contrary). But that's not before the Future Enterprise is allowed to be destroyed (with its very obvious Ghosts Of Future Past elements in tow), because it's not quite a multiple timeline episode without at least one Enterprise exploding.

Fundamentally, All Good Things is a reinforcement and celebration of everything great about the show: Picard's genius and courage, the ship's family dynamic, Q's boisterousness... And it was a great and moving end to the show (despite the impending movies, of course). Plus, jumping through time effectively allowed for the show to reflect on its glories - a sort of finale montage of self-congratulation - which was entirely intoxicating.
