Star Trek: 15 Greatest Ever Time Travel Episodes

11. Little Green Men - DS9

It was only a matter of time before Star Trek referenced the Roswell Incident, and this homage to 1950s B-Movies was a surprising, transformative gem. It sees the Ferengi unwittingly sent back through time to 1957 Earth from a comedy heavy homage.

Now, I'm not usually a fan of the Ferengi heavy episodes (despite loving DS9 generally), but their transformation into the objects of '50s space invasion anxiety gave them a nice new lease of life. The change of scenery also meant a new dynamic for Quark, Rom and Nog, and the difference helped Armin Shimerman in particular capture a great performance.

It's also a fun episode, including a hilarious Cold Wat-baiting gag in which Quark attempts business negotiations and when rebuffed threatens to take his business to Russia.
