How practical is it really to be in a mini skirt when you're serving in the military? I always wondered why, but then I grew up and realized it was for the sex sells factor. Mirror, Mirror is one of my favorite original Star Trek episodes. I didn't think that a ladies Star Fleet uniform could be any more alluring, but slam on the brakes! A parallel universe where Star Fleet uniforms are even more alluring. Look at Uhura! This isn't our mild mannered switchboard operator! No wonder Sulu wants to tap that! Welcome to the dark side indeed.
