Star Trek New Series: 10 Reasons It Should Be Captain Worf

6. Michael Dorn Is Really Up For It...

Michael Dorn, the actor who played Worf, actually confirmed his interest in the project via the website €˜Trek News€™, saying, €œI had come up with the idea because I love and I think he€™s a character that hasn€™t been fully developed and hasn€™t been fully realized. Once I started thinking about it, it became obvious to me that I wanted to at least put it out there, which I have, and the response has been pretty amazing. We€™ve been contacted by different individuals€“I can€™t say who and all that€“about wanting to come on board and be part of this. € WRITER€™S NOTE: Mr. Dorn, you can add my name to that list as well, sir. In fact, the driving force behind the creation of this show would appear to be Mr. Dorn himself, who is eager to wear a Fu-Manchu moustache, glue a brown Cornish pasty to his head and hit people with oddly-shaped shards of metal once again (in his defense, he was extremely good at it).

I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction. I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long! If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it). I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work. Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that! Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?) Latcho Drom, - CQ
