Star Trek Picard: Every Easter Egg & Hidden Reference From 'Nepenthe'

Hugh leads Elnor to the Queen's cell to use the "immense power" there to take the cube away from the Romulans. He speaks openly about this and of course Narissa hears, calls it a treaty violation, and decides she can kill Hugh after all. Which, after a few Legolas-esque sexy dance fighting moves from Elnor, she does.

As Hugh bleeds out, he tells Elnor to get an XB to activate the Queen's cell... and then he dies.

Look, there's no real easter egg or hidden reference here, just a big bummer about Hugh dying from a tiny Shinzon dagger getting thrown at him. Devastating.

But let's not forget the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Mortal Coil" in which Neelix dies in a shuttle accident and is brought back to life through the power of Borg nanoprobes. Hugh's body must be swimming with these things, so here's hoping they do their job and Hugh isn't headed for the Great Forest (this is a dead Neelix thing).
