Star Wars: 10 Best Mandalorians RANKED

6. Jango Fett

Mandalorian armourer armorer
Lucasfilm

A Mandalorian bounty hunter of great repute, Jango Fett's role in the overall Star Wars narrative cannot be understated. That being said, his merciless slaughter at the hand of Mace Windu in front of his son was a quick end to an interesting character who deserved more from the story.

When making the Clone Army as part of Palpatine's plans, Jango Fett was chosen as the genetic template. The Kaminoans used his genetic makeup as the basis for an entire army, all of whom look identical to him. Part of Jango's payment was a Clone to raise as son. That child was Boba Fett, who grew up to be even more feared than his father.

Jango Fett only appeared in one movie, Attack of the Clones, and has yet to make any substantial appearance in any TV series, animated or otherwise. Given that several characters, including fan favorite Captain Rex, would not exist without him, Jango seems like character worth considering for further exploration in an animated series.
