9. Lucas
Despite the fact that their friend is missing and that a mystical alien girl is now living among them, Lucas finds it far too easy to make it all about him. He refuses to call Eleven anything other than 'freak' or 'weirdo' which just isn't smart when she can break arms with her brain. Ultimately his reasoning behind being so antagonistic is because he's jealous of Eleven's role in the group, and while his behaviour may seem relatable there isn't time for petty bitterness when the stakes are so high.
His levelheadedness conflicts with the group for most of their adventure, but then at a crucial time for unity he goes maverick and leaves Will and Dustin to fight the bullies. His Rambo mission gets them some critical information and he does eventually accept Eleven, but it's hard to make up for being so cynical and difficult throughout the whole ordeal.
